Mitchell Biggio’s work features landscape and architectural elements to depict shifting topographic moments where memory and emotion are solidified into shape and line. In this abstraction, they aim to formulate a visual vocabulary to create and explore narratives through form. “I have always been interested in the moment a shift occurs and how that event relates to the timescales we project. In the major life change of becoming a father, I have started to think and experience the scale of time in a completely different way. This has led to an interest in creating work that depicts a sense of instantaneous upheaval in which form and line change based on the exchange with the viewer.
