Mecha Panda
Born to Korean immigrant parents, Mecha Panda grew up immersed in a vibrant world of comic books, anime, and surrealism, which fueled his imagination and passion for art. After a nearly decade-long hiatus, he reignited his artistic journey in July of the previous year. His work is characterized by an oddly incongruent yet thematically cohesive style.
“This is a small sample of the works I've been creating after a ten year hiatus. I like to play with the themes of loss and draw a lot from nature and fiction. Many of these pieces are study pieces for large works that are in progress.
Artifacts are remnants of a fleeting moment, the echoes of a powerful speech. The little things we grasp at in this ephemeral life we live.” - Mecha Panda
